Like so many others, I had a choice about where to build my life. I could have settled anywhere, but I chose Strathcona County and never looked back. This community isn't just where I live; it's where I've built lasting relationships, where I've worked to make a difference, and where I truly feel at home.

One of the biggest reasons I chose Strathcona County was the sense of connection. There's something special about living in a place where people genuinely care about one another. Whether it's a neighbor lending a helping hand, local businesses that greet you by name, or community members rallying together in times of need, Strathcona County has a spirit of kindness and support that sets it apart. It's a place where relationships matter, where people don't just live side by side but actually know and look out for each other.

Another reason is our incredible quality of life. We have access to top-tier schools, recreation facilities, arts and culture, and strong local businesses all without the traffic, congestion, and fast pace of big-city living. Here, we have space to breathe, grow, and enjoy life, whether that means attending a local event, supporting a farmers market, or simply running into a friend at the grocery store.

And then there's the natural beauty of Strathcona County. Our parks, trails, and green spaces make it easy to stay active and connected to the outdoors. Whether it's walking through the Heritage Hills Wetlands, biking the trails in Broadmoor Park, or enjoying a quick escape to the rural countryside, I've always appreciated how seamlessly nature is woven into our daily lives.

But what truly makes Strathcona County special is the people. Through my years of work and community involvement, I've met so many incredible individuals who are passionate about making this a better place for everyone. The heart of our county is the people who call it home-people who care deeply, who step up when needed, and who take pride in building a strong, supportive community.

That's why I chose to live in Strathcona County. It's not just a great place to live-it's a place where I belong. And it's why I continue to stay, serve, and give back to the community that has given me so much.
